Antti Isokangas has been active in the media and music business as a journalist, broadcaster, author and consultant. He has been editor of Nöjesguiden and Veli magazines, and was a correspondent for Billboard in the 90s. He now specializes in consulting for the media and creative industries.

Michael Chugg

Chugg Entertainment, Australia

Michael Chugg, chairman of Chugg Entertainment, Australias best known promotor & producer of rock & roll, Pollstar international promotor of the year 2008.

Chugg entertainment operates in Australia & New Zealand & South East Asia, current & recent tours include Coldplay, The Kooks, The Swell Season, Data Rock , The Laneway Festival, Jason Mraz , Seasick Steve, Eric Bibb, Ruthie Foster, Taylor Swift & many more.

Chugg recently co-produced 2 giant concerts at the Melbourne cricket ground & the Sydney cricket ground in aid of raising funds for the disasterous bushfires & massive flooding in Australia & is also a producer of the smash musical Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, which opened in March in Londons West End.

It is Michaels 1st trip to Finland & he is very excited about networking with the local music industry.


Scott Cohen

The Orchard, US

Scott Cohen co-founded The Orchard in 1997 and currently serves as Vice President, International for the company. Mr. Cohen is responsible for label acquisition, marketing, and management of all European territories.

Mr. Cohen is an expert in digital distribution and new media.  As a well-recognized public speaker and lecturer, he travels the world evangelizing new business models for the digital age.  In 2007, he was asked to join London Metropolitan University as a visiting professor.

Mr. Cohen's music career started in the late eighties in independent and major label artist management.  In addition to his responsibilities at The Orchard, he manages Danish indie rock sensation, The Raveonettes.


Fabrice Desprez

Phunk Promotion, France

Run by Fabrice Desprez and Olivier Pilz, Phunk is the leading French independant PR company for "cool / up and coming" music projects. Media promotion (press, radios,web, TVs, DJs,), artistic coordination, consulting and development strategies are our key activites.

Started all around electronic music in january 1996 (Fatboy Slim, Gigolo, Metro Area, Ricardo Villalobos, Matthew Herbert, Luciano...), Phunk has evolved in the past 5 years into quality pop and dance music. Recent campaigns have included MGMT, Ed Banger Records (Justice, Mr Oizo...), The Ting Tings, Miss Kittin & The Hacker, Kitsune, Nouvelle Vague, Mylo, Metronomy, Passion Pit...

Phunk also takes part to events through artistic direction (Festivals,
parties); but also promotion, consulting and coordination (Electronic Village at MIDEM 1999-2008); and is currently developping the Sister Phunk label (originally started in late 2004) with SISTERS, a compilation of 18 international "hybrid pop" revelations for 2009, to be released on may 25th; as well as publishing activities through Mother Phunk.


Morgan Johansson

Morgan Johansson is a co-founder of Luger (promoter, festival promoter and booking agency, founded in 1991) and Moondog Entertainment (artist management company, founded in 1997).  He has worked amongst other things as a booking agent, promoter and manager, now concentrating mostly on the management work together with his partner at Moondog Entertainment, Fredrik Holmgren. Moondog´s clients includes José González, The Hellacopters, Refused, The (Internationa)l Noise Conspiracy, Caesars and a few more.

Managing Director of TBWA Werbeagentur GmbH\STREAM, Hamburg, Germany. Michael Kramer has been founder and MD of Polygram Songs Germany in the 80s.

Korda Marshall

Infectious Records, UK

After starting his career at RCA Records in 1983 Marshall became A&R Director of the label in 1988 and counted The Blow Monkeys, The Wedding Present, Pop Will eat Itself, Londonbeat and Take That among his signings. Departing RCA in 1993 he launched Infectious Records, which eventually merged with Australian company Mushroom Records before being acquired by the Warner Music Group in 2003.  As part of this acquisition Marshall became Managing Director of the company's Atlantic Records label, where he signed The Darkness and James Blunt among others, before taking over at Warner Music in 2004 overseeing the careers of Madonna, Green Day, The Red Hot Chilli Peppers and signing artists including Gnarls Barkley, The Foals, The Enemy, Pendulum and Seasick Steve. Korda re-launched Infectious Records in February 2009.

Pekka Pohjakallio

Pekka has a 17 year career in Nokia during which he has been in charge of Nokia Music Service and the Nokia Nseries 7-series business. Currently Pekka holds the position of VP Service Experience, focusing on creating the best experience for Nokia's key services: music, media, games, consumer messaging, and social location. In addition to that, Pekka is in charge of Ovi brand marketing, and Nokia's developer community Forum Nokia.


Peter Ruppert

Entertainment Media Research Ltd, UK

Peter is founder of Entertainment Media Research and responsible for new product development, data interpretation and technical quality assurance.

Previously, Peter held senior positions at MTV, as Head of Music Information for MTV Europe, and Head of Music, Talent and Artist Relations at MTV Germany. He brings unique insights into music preference information, and has launched and managed companies in the UK as well as in Germany, including his own recording label and a research company specialising in music media, advising industry leaders in Entertainment Media.

Saku Tuominen

Zodiak Entertainment, Finland

Saku Tuominen (b. 1967)  is the Chief Creative Officer (CCO) of Zodiak Entertainment. Zodiak Entertainment is formed by more than 20 tv-production companies around the world and in 2008 its revenue totalled more than ?400 million.

Saku Tuominen has produced more than 100 different TV shows including big international formats from Strictly Come Dancing to Survivor as well as dozens of shows created in house.

Shows created by Saku and his team have been optioned in more than 25 countries and licenced in more than 10 countries. He has won more than 30 TV prizes in Finland, including  four  times The Format Of The Year  -prize and 7 Venla´s -statues (The Emmy of Finland). As a co-creator of the kids music show Staraoke he has also won an International Emmy.

In addition to this, Saku Tuominen is one of the leading consultants in creativity in Finland giving lectures and consulting  to many big companies. Saku Tuominen has written two  books. One about creativity, How Ideas Are Born (2004) and one about dried pasta, Aglio & Olio (2007).

 As a hobby he has been writing rock critics for more than 20 years.

 


Pedro Winter

Ed Banger Records, France

Pedro Winter, born 1975, is one of the key trendsetters of the modern pop world. Originally managing Daft Punk (from 1996 to 2008) but also Cassius and Cosmo Vitelli, he started in 2003 his own Ed Banger Records imprint to phenomenal success. Artists like Justice, Mr Oizo, SebastiAn, Uffie or DJ Mehdi have all enjoyed international exposure, whereas the label's image and designs set by graphic designer So_Me is now a blueprint inspiration for youth culture all around the world.

Ed Banger is now cited as a reference in viral/image/trendsetting development in the music business and beyond. Pedro also manages most of the label's artists (Justice, Mehdi...); whilst DJing and producing music under the alias Busy P.
